Commission: Brand Strategy, Identity and Environment
When experienced PT Tim Cooper set out to launch Tekton Gym in Capel, he came to us with a simple brief: design a set of leaflets to promote his new venture. Like many founders today, Tim had already taken a first step himself - creating a logo using AI.
It did an ‘okay’ job on the surface, but it didn’t capture what he wanted Tekton to become. In a world of quick fixes and instant outputs, one of the most important decisions Tim made - alongside providing world-class equipment and an impressive space - was choosing to invest properly in his brand.
The results
Close to 300 members signed up within the first two months of opening
Strong uptake in branded merchandise
Rapid growth in social media presence from a standing start
Consistent word-of-mouth driven by the strength and memorability of the brand
Brand Strategy
The local market was filled with generic gym chains and lifestyle-led health clubs. Tekton had the opportunity to own a clear space: a serious strength environment that still felt welcoming and inclusive.
We built the brand around three core principles:
The Best Equipment
Inclusivity
Community
Together, they created a distinctive position - a gym purpose-built for performance, designed for The Lifters, while remaining welcoming and accessible to The Neighbours.
Training. Together
Visual Identity and Environment
We created an identity that reflects strength without intimidation.
Bold typography, a powerful colour palette, and a confident, structured logo system give Tekton a sense of authority and quality. The tone avoids aggressive, ego-driven gym clichés. Instead, it mirrors the inclusive the experience Tim has built within the space itself.
“Sometimes in life you make decisions and look back and say ‘thank goodness I chose to do that’. Zed was one of those for me. If you need a team to bring your brand to life and inject pure magic into what you are trying to achieve, throw the AI on the floor and give them a ring. You won’t be disappointed.”
