Created by renowned members club Home House, Home Grown is a new, private members’ club in London for high-growth entrepreneurs.

Our brief was to create a publication for members that would add value, give business advice and insight as well as communicate offerings from around the Club.

‘A newspaper with edge’

Given the Club’s bold, colourful identity, the project name became a ‘newspaper with edge’. It could not be a glossy, internal-looking, ‘throwaway’ publication; instead an informed, intelligent read that would engage with its entrepreneurial audience. But with a curious, expressive, even quirky, personality.

Then along came Cedric, walking in with his case and top hat and it immediately felt right. He’s the crocodile central to both Home House and Home Grown logos that just oozes personality.
CEDRIC MEANS BUSINESS

There are so many potential names for business titles, but most felt too stiff, too suited and corporate.

Designed in a broadsheet format, Cedric offers a mix of features, columns and shorter pieces, along with Club event listings. You can dip into it for half a minute or half an hour. Bold typography, strong colours, clear signposting, white space: a stylish, confident, intelligent publication that feels at home with its surroundings and its reader.
