Re-branding a members' club with a difference

Stair Case And Chairs

The Royal Over-Seas League is a private members club that supports international understanding and friendship through its music, arts and humanitarian activities.

We were commissioned to rebrand and manage the subsequent roll-out in all areas, including the website, magazine and marketing material.

With over 100 years of history it was a case of evolution, not revolution. The club crest was to remain untouched, focussing our thoughts on other areas we could leverage difference: font, colour palette and relationship with the crest. The new look nodded to its heritage, but with a simplicity and freshness that pointed to its future.

As part of the re-brand, we re-launched ROSL’s prestigious journal Overseas, first published in 1915.
“Team zed are an extension of the Marketing team here at ROSL. They understand our members; the challenges and opportunities we face to create engaging marketing communications that help us raise our profile and grow membership. zed provide exceptional design work with an attention to detail that makes me confident our communications are in safe hands.”
