Re-branding the Royal Air Force Club

The Royal Air Force Club is a private members Club for serving and former Officers of the Royal Air Force and their families, based in a beautiful clubhouse in London’s Mayfair.

2018 sees the Club – and the RAF itself – celebrate its centenary. To commemorate this milestone we were commissioned to work on a rebrand. This included redrawing the Club’s heraldic crest and creating a complementary centenary logo. A new refined colour palette and contemporary typeface have been introduced that better reflect the Club, its members and the elegant Clubhouse in Piccadilly.

This new look will be implemented across a wide range of communication and promotional material, including their membership magazine and, later in the year, a new website.

Following completion, we were delighted to receive the following from our client:

“The zed team – proactive, creative and cost effective with the added bonus of being a lovely bunch to work with. Nothing is too much trouble, great attention to detail and a very no-nonsense approach to brand and design. What’s not to like?”

Charlotte Gray Head of Marketing & Communications, RAF Club

CSR: A load of fluff or good company ethics?

As zed grows, we understand we have a responsibility to manage the impact we have on our people, our community and our environment, minimising the negative and maximising the positive.

The story behind the yellow chair...

Our website launch brought with it a photoshoot, shot by the talented Olga Kott in which our team were tasked with taking our studio’s yellow chair out to any part of Dorking for their individual photo.
